Welcome to the Maine Coon Interest Group website.

The MCIG (SA) prides itself in trying to ensure that Maine Coon cats are bred for the improvement of the breed and not just for money. To assist with this, all Breeder Members of the MCIG (SA) sign a Breeder's Code of Ethics. Our breeders page lists all Maine Coon breeders who have signed this Code of Ethics. You will also find a link to the Code of Ethics so that you can see the benefit of buying a Maine Coon kitten from a Breeder Member of the MCIG (SA).
